Dear OVE Families,
Thank you to all who attended Parent/Teacher Conferences. We place great value on our home–school partnerships and believe this is the best recipe for supporting your student’s learning and well-being.
The students—and most of the staff—really enjoyed celebrating our school-wide fundraiser incentives, especially the staff sliming, dance party, and principal taping to the wall! I am hopeful and optimistic that we raised enough money so that we won’t need to hold another school fundraiser next year. That would give me some time to mentally prepare for whatever surely “memorable” experiences I’ll be selected to participate in next time!
We have some fun and family-friendly events planned for November, including the PTO Book Fair (November 10–14), Junior Achievement Day (November 24), and 3rd Grade Grandparents/VIP Coffee and Cinnamon Rolls (November 25). These are fantastic events that can spark great conversations with your student(s). If you’re looking to become more involved or connected to the school community, there are many opportunities to volunteer or participate in these and other fun school activities. As I often tell our students, “You never know until you try.”
On a final note, I want to commend all parents and guardians for contributing to our continued, fantastic school-wide attendance rate. As the holiday season—and the dreaded flu season—approach, I’m hopeful we can continue working together to maintain excellent student attendance through these sometimes tricky months.
Thank you for your continued support and involvement. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly via email or phone.

Fly Eagles Fly,

From Ms. Aimee

  • If your child has borrowed clothes from the clinic, please launder and send them back to school.
  • Please consider packing a change of clothes for your student to keep in their locker in case of an accident or clothing issue.

Please call the office to report your child's attendance. You may tell the teacher if your child will be absent, but you must call the office so we can change the attendance code. Thank you!

LINQ Connect
Student Meal Accounts
OVE parents, did you know that you can easily deposit money into your student’s meal account? When you register with the Linq Connect website, you can make deposits, set up recurring deposits, OR just use the website to monitor what your child is purchasing in the OVE cafeteria. You can also set up notifications to let you know when your child’s balance is low. In addition, you can apply for free or reduced meals on the same website at any time during the school year. Go to linqconnect.com from any computer, tablet or mobile device and create a free account. There is also a mobile app available in the Google Play Store and Apple Store. Payment can be sent to school with your student in the form of cash or check payable to OVE. Please make sure the payment is clearly marked with your student's first and last name, and that your student turns their payment into their teacher first thing in the morning.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call Gini Bennett, Bookkeeper, at 574-825-5094.
